Your name is already written on Earth
There are rivers shaped like an S, islands that look like an A, lakes that curve into a perfect J. EarthSpell finds them and spells your name with real satellite photos from the NASA/USGS Landsat program.

Every letter is a real place

Nothing here is drawn or generated. This A is where two rivers meet in the Yukon Delta, in Alaska, photographed from orbit by a Landsat satellite. Tap any letter in the app and you get its name, its coordinates, and a link to the original NASA image.

Real photographs, not AI letters
Every other app of this kind uses fake letters made to look like satellite imagery. EarthSpell uses the real thing: authentic Landsat photographs of letter-shaped places, from NASA's "Your Name in Landsat" collection. It looks like satellite art and doubles as a small geography lesson.
- Real coordinates on every letter

FAQ - Frequently asked questions
Is EarthSpell free?
Yes, completely. No ads, no account, no purchases, nothing locked behind anything.
Are the satellite images real?
Yes. They are Landsat photographs taken by NASA and the USGS, of places that genuinely look like letters from orbit. Each one comes with its real location and coordinates.
Is this NASA's "Your Name in Landsat"?
No. EarthSpell is an independent app. NASA published the letter photographs and we credit them as the source, but the app is not made by NASA and is not endorsed by NASA.
Which letters can I use?
All 26, A to Z, plus spaces. Most letters have several real places to choose from, so the same letter can look different every time it appears.
Can I use my name as a wallpaper?
Yes. Export a high resolution PNG, vertical (9:16) for phone wallpapers and stories, or square (1:1) for posts.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every image ships inside the app, so nothing is downloaded while you use it.
